Ladderbacks all lookin' awesome and stuff.

Wanted to show you my chairs now that they're done.  I still need to screw the seats on, but I'm loving how they look with my table. (See THIS POST for before pictures, how I did it, and a desk makeover too!)

Today, hubby and I got started on the last project for the dining room.  It's proving to be WAAAAY more time-consuming and difficult than what I thought, but I'm hoping to have it done in the next couple days with a couple cussing sessions inbetween.  Cause, well, you know.

Looks like my link party is on!  Grab the button over there on my sidebar and get the word out!  Start digging thru the piles and choose your project(s).  I've already made my list, and am looking forward to getting started using up all the supplies and materials I've been amassing over the year.  And Troy!  Men are always welcome :o)

Did you make the seats or buy them? If you made them I want to know how and if you bought them you can tell me where.

Love the dark seats! I have those same chairs in my dining room and the stool version in my kithen. I never thought of staining the seats, but now you've got the wheels turning. I'm eying those stools right now and they don't have a clue what they're in for. Just when I thought I was done in the kitchen...

I love the look of the walnut gel stain on the rush-woven chairs. Who would have thought to do that? Not me. And I must go out and find some heirloom white paint. Gorgeous, simply gorgeous. -Tammy

Cindy!
They look fabulous! I love rush seats and ladder back chairs.
My husband made me one rush seat (yes, wove it himself) looked at the other 5 and called it good:)
Needless to say, I have 1 woven seat at the table and the others are mismatched.
Works for me!

It looks sooooo good! I really need to get to work around my cottage...I have many pieces of furniture to redo...including our farm table and chairs. I've used that same Heirloom white on many pieces, it is such a soft shade isn't it? I would have never thought to stain the seats to those chairs...and it looks so good! Can we see a full pic of the chairs with your table?

I love your ladder back chairs! I have a dark brown set in my attic. They were given to me because the cane seats were all damaged and the side posts were broken. One day I hope to cut new wood seats and upholster them. I enjoyed seeing the colors on your chairs!
