Knick Knack Paddy Wack (wait, what?)

Here we have what's called a whatnot shelf, otherwise known as a place to horde knick-knacks that have no purpose except to make you feel good when you look at them (I keep explaining this to the Mister, but he just doesn't get it....until I remind him that there are other *ahem* things that HE likes to look at that make him feel good that don't really have a purpose unless you've just had a newborn who's hungry. Anyway.....

Paid too much for this, but had to have it. All wood, and has pretty curves.

My BFF with attachment.  Get one of these things, k?

Used some 80 grit sandy on her edges and voila:

She'll be just dandy in my dining room, which you will have to wait to see her in until I'm finished in there.

I think she'll do.

Donna of Funky Junk Interiors fame is hosting a Saturday Nite Special so get your hiney over there and get inspired.

SNORT!!! Heebee jeebees while I glance at your lovely shelf. Great combo I say! haha BTW, those lines on that shelf really rock. I love the distressed touches you add to your makeovers. They totally work.

Thanks for linking up to the party!

P.S. BOO back atcha! (for those not in the know, the bird cage lady freaks me out)

I am cracking up at the first paragraph about your husband! Too funny! I am also mad about the attachment that I needed when I painted my rocking chair the other week, remember? I had a blister that is just now healing! I must get one before my next chair project that I have been putting off! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Laughing at your explanation to your hubby ;) You really restored the beauty to all her lovely curves. Looking forward to seeing her all dressed up. Thanks for the tip about the nozzle attachment. I'll be looking for one of those now for sure.

I think it looks fantastic! I just bought one of the sprayer nozzle things. Does it work well? I'm kind of a disaster at spray painting so I'm hoping it improves my technique.

So, it's Zionsville that we are planning our move to. So cool that you have such local roots. We've enjoyed Fishers but can't wait to escape it. Does that make sense?
