Need a little Christmas?

 PSSSST...I'm no longer blogging here!
You can now find me at

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Right this very minute?

K.  Here's a smattering of merry stuff I've been setting out until I can get my real fix with the tree tomorrow (tomorrow, it soon will be tomorrow and be our day, we will say a very happy, tomorrow today).

Dining room

Just picked these up today, and a wee matching wreath that I still need to hang.

Kitchen nook.  I painted the star ornaments 'cause they were orangey.

Ikea goodies!

Side hutch with little red touches. I'm *trying* not to go overboard....

My favoritist antique corner cabinet with more red zip. (See the white paint???)  This room is still very dark, one window, northern exposure, so I had to artificially lighten this shot so you could see.  My mama made the tiny wreath a long time ago.  Most of the other pieces were thrift store finds.

Seasonal reading, bells and berries. ( I have a story to tell about this coffee table
...but I'll share it another time.)

Remember my clock?

Love this advent countdown.  My kids don't.  No candy.

Hearth.

Mantle.  I'll show you more of this when we get the whole room done, and I'll talk about all the little things I did to put it together.  There's a closeup here.

Found this wreath hook at Salvation Army with the most beautiful gray/blue patina.  Got a styrofoam wreath form and went to town with some ribbon I had. This is my computer/living room which will be decked in blues.

Lots of tying involved.  But I like it.

Still need to add some festive bows, but I love the way the Dollar Store rocks look in these aqua Ball jars.

Another couple pics of the dining room....

I'm still furiously crafting too....finishing up ornaments, garlands and stockings.  As soon as I get everything decked out, I'll show you the familyroom makeover.  I'm soooo happy with the white paint!

More Christmas:
Here and

okaybye.

Oh, I am sooo jealous! I've done some decorating that I like, but now I'm kind of "stuck". I want to do more, but with four little boys running around, I can't seem to find the time. Then when I do have time, I am too exhausted!!! Your home looks amazing. I really like that mantle!
Blessings,
Traci

I'm never disappointed when I click on one of your new posts. I know I'm going to be treated to vignettes that reach out to me. You have an amazing knack for chosing things that appeal to all. That is a gift!

The rag wreath is really cool! I was hoping to see a closeup and there it was right below. And the mantel?!? Egads. Makes me want to rip mine apart and start over. I am SO IN LOVE with that mirror frame it's illegal.

But then you went and put a barn star (LOVE) over a rustic wreath (WOAAA) and hung it by a ribbon (AHHH) and place it in front of the mirror!!!! (EEEEE)

I need a nap.

Yum- cottage-y Christmas goodness! My two faves, no 3, the wreath holder- I've never seen anything like it, but I like it!, the bells hanging from burlap?linen? strips on the doors of your cabinet in the corner, and the wall window box with the ball lantern lights mixed with the greenery - so fresh!
