Marty at A Stroll Thru Life is hosting a Christmas Cloche party and I did my best to fill some glass with pretties. Unfortunately my camera (or my skills using it) just aren't cooperating this evening, so my pictures aren't the greatest. Hope you enjoy anyway...be sure to stop over to Marty's for a list of party-goers for under/in-glass inspiration. Hopefully other's had better luck with their cameras :)
I made these with thrift store cheese domes, GW plates and Dollar Store glasses. Mercury glass ornaments were a gift, pearly white fake fruit from Hobby Blobby.
I took and retook this shoot and finally gave up. Anyway, this vignette of candy goodness sits atop a hutch in my kitchen nook. To add height to the one I just propped it up on an upsidedown round Dollar Store candle bowl. The cloche with the candle is one of the cheese dome bases I painted with a candle vase flipped upside down on top.
Part of my mantlescape.....glass ball jars filled with pinto and navy beans and left over votives from my daughter's wedding. (do they count as cloches???)
My collection of IKEA lanterns on the kitchen sideboard. Not sure these count either, but there ya go.
One last look at the dining room cloches....
Thanks for hosting Marty!
okaybye.

I love it. It's so cool that everyone is finding all those old glass cheese domes and turning them into these beautiful works of art. Yours look fabulous.

Oh I am so impressed with your creativity and craftyness. You have made some of the cutest cloches. I love the ornaments in them, and I also really love the jars too with the votives. Your lanterns count too. I think anything that you can decorate in counts. Very clever to make yours, and I love them. Thanks so much for joining the party. Hugs, Marty
