I found some another linky parties....and they're goodies!
Homebody Holly's Thrift Store Thursday
Along the Way with K and J's Trash to Treasures on Saturdays:
Last week I stumbled into an old favorite thrift store that I hadn't been in for at least 5 years. It's a Salvation Army Thrift Store, and there's tons of them around my city. This particular one, though, is tucked way out of the way, and faaaaar away from my house, so I usually haunt those closer to me. But I had an inkling....
Walked up to the door to read "All furniture 50% off". Heart palpitations. Sweaty hands. You know the drill. If you didn't, you wouldn't be reading decoration blogs, eh?
Here's what I walked out with:
Mitchel Gold slipcovered loveseat $40....I plan to use the cover as a pattern to make a white cover for summer. This puppy is oh-so-plushy and comfy!
Settee for $30. Love the lines and super comfy. Unfortunately I don't have room for it in my house, but since when has that ever deterred me from a deal? Would love to have this reupolstered in a white linen. Mmmmm. Wouldn't that be dreamy?
Get ready to get your scream on....solid wood buffet $17. The old girl has lots of dings and scratches, so will take some time to get all gussed up, but man! Check out her pretty curves...and her groovy side view below:
She'll be dressed in white and her hardware black. Can't WAIT to get started on her! She'll be perfect in my taupe dining room.
Lastly, I found this beaut at my favorite consignment store. Yes, I can see the potential. Imagine her painted black with natural linen cushions.....or white with chocolate linen....or silvery gray with white linen....oooo the possibilities! Too bad I don't have room for her in my house either.
She rocks, literally and figuratively.
Oh, and there's this gal:
You can read all about her makeover here. She was $11 and just the prettiest little thing.
Thanks for stopping by and sharing in my thrifting adventure...be sure to check out the thrifty goodness over at Holly's too! A plethora of eye candy.
