Loverly Linens

I'm finding myself haunting my favorite thrift shops lately for vintage linens to stack up here and there at home and just STARE.  Seeing them all jumbled in a pile of cotton-y, linen-y textures just makes my blood pressure drop about a zillion points.  Please sit back and enjoy this perfectly pleasant pile with me...

Aren't you relaxed now?  Me too....that's why I'm hooked on linens.  They make my life exceptionally beautiful this fine Friday morning.

Julie over at Hooked on Houses is hosting her link party 'Hooked on Fridays', Melissa at The Inspired Room has Beautiful Life Friday, and Suzanne at Colorado Lady does Vintage Thingies Thursday, so I'm joining all those places to share the loverly linen love.

I am a lover of linens also!! Just can never have too many! I redid my master bedroom- actually just a little fluffing and decided to try it with out my linens on the shelves etc. Well after all that I think they are going right back up! It needs that beautiful layer to make it complete- at least to me!

I am totally with you! I love vintage and antique linens. Especially ones with mongrams or pretty detail. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Cindy!
Thank you so much for your visit! The little pumpkins and acorns came from Michaels craft store. I bought them at the end of last season but I'll bet they have them again. I had a hard time finding tiny ones until I checked there. Hope you are having a wonderful weekend so far!

I luv VINTAGE LINENS too! I was in the ANTIQUE business for six years and some people called me "THE LINEN LADY"...I carried a lot of linens because I loved them sooooo much! Check out my post COTTAGE CHARM to see pics of my business. Hope you have a great weekend.

So pretty! What is it with the embroidered K?

Thanks gals :o)
Abbie...it's a linen tea towel. I have a daughter who's name starts with 'K', but currently her room is decorated in bright teal and zebra prints. *shaking head* Soooo, I'm giving it to a friend whose last name starts with 'k' and appreciates vintage linens.

I love vintage linens. It is my favorite vintage thing to collect, I just hate to iron them!

Sigh. The thrift stores near me don't have these kinds of things, so I buy lots of hankies on ebay.

These are so pretty. Wouldn't it be neat if you could hold on, and be in the original owner's home like in a time machine? OK...I know that sounds strange, but I would love to know the history of the pieces I find.... :)

As people always say they don't make linens like
they used to. You have many treasures here!
