I'm Falling for Fall. Or something like that.

This posty-poo is linked toThe DIY Show Off is Fall Festival Week #5 ,Cheri's Celebrate the Holidays  , Katie of K @ J fame's fall party , and Kara's Party too! I cannot believe the fantabulous fall inspiration out there in blogland....so many creative folks out there welcoming the season.

There's lots of fun linky parties on Monday, each with a slightly different focus.  To see other parties I've joined up with see this post.  Mondays are busy ones in the blogsphere :o)  Thank the gods, because Mondays used to be the bane of my existence.  'Course it's kinda sick that my motivation to get outta bed is a computer screen filled with decorating eye candy.  Ahem.

So here's some more sprucing I've done:

Petite widdle pumpkins with their widdle stems taped off.  You know where this is going....

Yep, a widdle Heirloom White spray paint (this is made by Rustoleum under either the 'American Accents' or 'Painter's Touch' line---had an email that I tried to respond to but it kept bouncing. Sorry about that M!)  Looks kinda cool all drippy like that, eh?  I don't think I shook the can for the proverbial 2 minutes (but I gotta tell ya, when you do, it makes
ALL the difference in the finish!)

Cuteness in my porch wall planter

Some more shots of my porch for the fall.

I also risked life and limb by foraging beneath this tree, fighting off the evil squirrels

Look at the bark....LOVE the texture and peely-ness.  Who knew nature could be so shabby chic?

Here's what I was pinching from the squirrels

Thought this a la naturel material would look spiffy all gathered up here

On my  iron birdie thing-a-ma-bob...they're mucho cute, IMO.

Lastly, I picked up some style-challenged wood candle sticks with good bones and gave them a coat of
Krylons Oil Rubbed Bronze.  Delish, I tell ya.

They helped complete this coffee table vignette, being the show offs that they now are.
Don't hate them 'cause they're beautiful.  Do you think the Dollar Store birds a wee bit jealous?

Thanks for joining me as I learn my way around 'decorating for the seasons'.  Can't wait to visit everyone else and see what you've been gussy-ing up 'round your places...

I like your white pumpkins (creative to think of painting them). Your porch is pretty. It's like "fresh" fall. Have a good week!

You crack me up! I have to fight off the evil squirrel mafia in my yard too. Your widdle white pumpkins are darling and your porch is so welcoming and pretty. Love the candlesticks too. Spray pain is so addicting. Great job! Thanks for your sweet introduction and adding your inspiration to the Fall Festival! :) I agree - Mondays are more fun in blogland than in real life. :)

I've been wanting some white pumpkins, and it never occurred to me to just make my own. Brilliant! And those candlesticks are stunning. I'm gonna go get me some oil rubbed bronze spray paint!

Love all the goodies! I just picked up a pair of candlesticks almost identical to the ones you just did a redo on. I haven't played with them yet. I just finished off my can of Dollar store black spray paint today with another project. I am so loving the dollar store cans of black spray paint.

Have a wonderful day!

I love it all. We don't have many squirrels here in Florida but back in Kansas those crazy things... they would throw things at us.
