The first was from RM from A Day in the Life, who you'll remember sent me those fantabulous lanterns and candles. She's also a fellow Hoosier, so double points.
The second came from Patricia at In My Free Time, a lovely blogger who always participates in my Make it for Monday party, and leaves me very sweet comments :)

In other news, I moved that Follower thing to the bottom of my page. If'n you really want to stalk me, you can either go down there and sign up OR go way up there at the tippy top of the screen next to the blogger logo on the left and click 'follow'. And just to confuse you more, you can subscribe by clicking over there to the right in my sidebar.....choose to put me in a reader or in your inbox. Ah, don't you love choices? I love them almost as much as awards.

cindy... my daughter reminds me "we are not defined by our numbers"
When I first started my blog, I wanted my numbers to grow. Currently the numbers are growing a little to fast to suit me. I don't want to let my readers down. But alas, I am having a giveaway, and I have hardly anything to post these days. Go figure!

I went to my blog this am to find that my viewer counter was gone. At first I was a little peeved, after all....what the heck....and then I realized it was just sick anyway and I'm better off without it.

I quit blogging last year, and one reason I got so discouraged was that no one seemed to be following or subscribing. It is disheartening. I have come back to blogging, and this time I am not showing any numbers either. The fun thing with Typepad is that you can look at stats, and I have discovered that many are coming to my blog, even though they don't comment. I decided this time that I was writing this blog mainly for myself. Of course I am thrilled when people say nice things -- who isn't? But it is not the reason I do it.
