White Wednesday brought to you from Naples FL

The heavens parted today over Naples, and we spent the day at the beach.  Lots of white!

Swirly white sea foam chills the toes....

A sailboat with wispy white sails underneath wispy white clouds....

Myriad shades of white glisten in the long-awaited sunshine...

A white heron (mom calls them 'Feathers')......

The bubbling white surf crashes into a jetty...

Two pristine white shells being inspected by Mr. Googly Eyes....(don't ask, suffice it to say my hubby is a determined shell seeker)

A creamy collection of shells gathered in my mom's apothecary jar....

A new sterling bauble to go with one of my white cotton tops...

A study in sepia...

The waiter in white......
Brought me this white wine....

That left me very happy in my favorite white linen blouse...

'Twas a perfect ending to our getaway trip....sunshine, shopping, surf, sand, shells, scallops, sips of white wine....ahhhhhh.

Hope you enjoyed the white goodness of Naples Florida.

Oh I could smell the salt water matey......I was almost afraid to read this post, thought the 'white' might be snow! So glad your last day was a good one. Now get yourself home where you belong girl! :-D

Yes the sun did shine yesterday...only for it to rain (and get cooler again) like crazy today. sigh. Crazy weather we are having down here in FL! Glad you were able to catch some sun and warmth. Nothing betta. And tell Jayme, she's just a little too possessive of you! LOL.

It's funny how we don't think of white as a color but you have shown it in all its glory..

As I was looking at your pictures of the Heron and the waves crashing against the rocks, I couidn't help but think that the water color was pretty close to the colors you are decorating with at home.

Come back soon! We miss you! By the way, when I was in 5th grade, we were given an assignment to write a poem about a color. I wanted to be different and wrote about the color white. I thought I did an oustanding job pointing out all the white in our lives and I was the only one in class who picked that color!
