After my daughter's wedding in June, my hubby and I took a little trip to Mackinac Island as he had a business conference to attend there. I spent a majority of my time gawking at the fabulous homes on the island. Here's a few of my faves (though I could do without the 'rear' shot here):Everyone's gardens were amazing....
LOVE the wrap around porch on this one:
The sunporch on the side here? HEAVEN on earth....
This one was probably my favoritist as it was tucked back from the road with a squeaky iron gate. Look at that wee tiny window gable at the top! I heart it...
Here the Grand Hotel where we stayed....one of the oldest in the nation. Opened the summer of 1887.
I dream of someday living in an old victorian farmhouse. Or maybe a craftsman bungalow. Then again, a mid-century cape cod sounds nice too. Instead, I'm treading water in an 80's ranch on a cul de sac until the kids finish school. At least this summer I got my fix on Mackinac!

I love Mackinac Island, we used to visit there every year when I was growing up. I keep saying I am going to take my children. Such a beautiful place. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
Hubby and I were there last summer! Truly an awesome place and a top ten in my book of places to visit! Cindy
What gorgeous houses! I love touring historic towns with beautiful old houses. I think your favorite is my favorite, too - so cute!
