Advent Calendar Jars

PSSSST...I'm no longer blogging here!
You can now find me at

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Remember when I snagged 22 wee jars at the thrift for $3?  Well I did.  And they've sat in my cra(p)ft room awaiting inspiration.  I decided they needed some glitter.  Right.
Just what I need for a happy advent countdown.

Made a sparkle banner to match.
I just used scrapbook letters, paper and ribbons I had.

Decorated the jars with paper, ribbon, stamped and glittered tags.

.  Filled them with crystal sugar and a gummy snowman and Christmas tree.

By happy accident, I had these wee glass bulbs that look adorable on top.

I'm pretty happy with it for using what I had.

Gotta have a token sepia pic in every post.  Almost.

Oh yeah, the boys promptly decided how to get the gummies out:

I'm almost done with Christmas crafting.
I have a couple ideas for ornaments, but they might not happen.
I've still got my porch to festify and cookies to bake guys!

I love the banner, too. I'd watch out for that lego man. He looks a little shifty to me.
