A sea of mess....

Seriously?

I need some rehab.
My Christmas decor is outta control.

It took the better part of today to get it packed away.
I'm embarrassed to say how many boxes it took.

But the colors are so pretty.
So much sparkly shiny!

Is your Christmas packed away yet?

  2. I put mine away, but only because the tree was dead, and I dont like a dry tree. It does look pretty, but I'm sure that was overwhelming!

  6. I packed mine away yesterday.. Mine only took two 30-gallon totes. I've got a ways to go to rival your collection! Love your colors of choice.

  7. Don't be so hard on yourself. It took me two days to take it down and now I have 27 buckets full waiting to go into the attic and 6 boxes of ornaments. You are not the only one.

  9. You are not alone Cindy! It takes me about a week to put it all up and a week to pack it back up. Sometimes I think... wow, that's two whole weeks out of my life every year!

  11. No, not even close. We were going to do that today, but we're avoiding it. It's a big job.

  12. I still have lights and greenery on the mantel, but have had the tree down since this past Friday. I've always been told it's bad luck to have the tree still up on New Year's. Must be a local custom.

  13. Yours looks way more organized than mine. It took me two days to get mine put away (and I haven't even started putting the regular stuff back out yet) I cant tell you how many boxes I have - I lost count!

  14. Yes, we packed them all away yesterday. My house looks so empty now, but it's too soon for spring decor!

  15. I packed all mine away on New Year's Eve. I usually wait until the new year, but I needed to get it all stored away, for some reason.

  16. Just got it all stashed yesterday. It was down the day after Christmas - (I have no idea why-I was just in the mood) but it wasn't stowed in the attic. I left all the 'wintery' things out - I feel like I have too much too - but then not having much makes me feel sad....I think it's a sickness. : -)

  17. I've been taking it room by room this year... I'm finally down to the final one, the front porch where the "big" tree still resides. And I'm up to 19 bins and counting... I may need to get another one :P

  18. Our decorations will be up for a few more weeks. Each year I get rid of some decorations, but unfortunately, I buy a ton more! I wonder if there's a name for this addiction???

  19. With you on this! We bought new containers and went through it all. Two days!! This is what happens when you have your mom's plus ours from 2 homes, here and overseas.
    Happy New Year!
