Repeat after me: Spray paint is your friend.

So I had this fantabulous entry light fixture, circa 1982:

I also had this Ballard Design catalogue with a couple pictures that gave me deja vu:

and

I also had a can of ORB spray paint.  Or three.
And a hubby who removes icky glass from 80's light fixtures.

And I gave myself a knock-off Ballard lantern:

I know.  Cuteness.

I also finished touching up the trim in this entry, the trim and walls in my cra(p)ft room, and burned a grilled turkey and cheese sandwich.
It was a rather good day considering.

Room reveals coming soon.

  1. cindy,
this is what i love about blogland. creative genius and spray paint in one fell swoop! your entry light doesn't even look like a distant cousin to the circa 1982 (btw the year i got married). i am in awe of the makeover.

  3. Yes..sirree spray paint is da bomb! I am frantically trying to prep things for the "no spray painting season". Cold weather is not a friend to spray paint.

  12. It's amazing what a can of spray paint can do. I did not see that cute light fixture coming. I thought you were showing it and then replacing it and about to show us your new one. It looks just as great as the ones in Ballards!
