PSSSST...I'm no longer blogging here!

Well the weather outside is frightful. Literally.
My Gracie was 'sposed to take her drivers test today, but had to reschedule because the roads were so bad this morning. I braved the cold and snow while the boys played outside worked on their schoolwork, finishing up my holiday decorating on the front porch.
Looking down one way.....
Looking down the t'other...
I wish I could find my old ice skates to stick somewhere. But I *did* find this old-falling-apart-tobogan behind some crap in the garage. Added some jute, plastic flowers and bling. Works for me.
I got these hypocrite greens from Hobby Blobby. I'd pick up a couple stems whenever they were 50% off starting back in the fall. Ornaments are from the Target Dollar Spot.
These greens are the real McCoy, cut from the bottom our live tree in the house.
The red ones are plastic imposters from Hob Blob.
But they play so nicely with everyone I gave them a front row seat. Just need to get one of those 'Merry Christmas' glitterfied signs from Wally's place to hang on the jute webbing....
Here's the back of the bench and rocker.
The planters are usually filled with whatever plant I'm currently killing in the summer.
Thankfully everything in them now is already dead.
See? Have you ever seen such pretty dead things?
Speaking of which....fake tree #1 with plastic balls tied on with twine...
Ditto #2. Picked up these bucketed trees at JoAnn's for $2.50 each.
Used another matching bucket I had and froufified it too....
So that's what I did today. Well, I also primed a couple pieces of furniture inside the house.....
...and I built a cake for my favorite sophomore...my friend's son who I homeschool:
I believe I am almost done with decorating for the holidays. Maybe.
How 'bout you? Done? Just starting? Skipping it altogether?

How cute, I really love the burlap touches.
Aaah, Cindy. This looks beautiful.
I really love the paint colour of the outside of your house. It looks so pretty with all the reds of your decorations.
I wish I had a sled like that just 'lying around'!!! I'm wondering what other treasures you have in there!!
Hope you're having a great day.

It looks so pretty and festive! Love the jute bow on the toboggan!! How do you get it all done girl?
Happy Holidays!!
:-)

My above comment didn't make much sense. I haven't decorated too much, made a lot of holiday crafts, just not decorated.
Heather
I have me the outside to finish up. I'm feeling ashamed that you braved the cold and I have been unwilling to do so... Maybe there will be a sunny spot tomorrow to help me feel more motivated. Gotta find the lights to put up with the greens...
I love your front porch. It just perfect. I haven't done mine yet. It's been too cold. Hopefully tomorrow. That toboggan is so cool. I love your shutters too.
Oh I love it! The burlap touches are so wonderful!
Hi Cindy,
Your outside decorating puts mine to shame. I think you have just inspired me to so some more!
Your home looks festive and welcoming.
hugs
Sissie
Soooo pretty! If I rode by your home, I would stop and stare. Actually, you might find me rocking away in one of your yummy rockers! It's all so welcoming and screams of what festive treats await you inside! Becca
Looks wonderful...I love the burlap ribbon and red balls. I think I want to add those to my garland this year. Beautiful porch! Yvonne
love your taboggen and use of jute and twine everywhere :) it looks cute
You must be fried after all the festifying and glitterfying, Cindy. It looks wonderful! Love those red ornaments in the terra cotta pots!
Rest yourself, girl!
Brenda
Beautiful! I HAVE to get some of that jute ribbon! It looks great in your Christmas decor!
Your porch looks fantastic! I love the webbing you used and all the little swags you've put around the porch. I want to find ice skates AND a sled to display by my front door!
I must say, I'm "stealing" that upholstery webbing/ribbon idea for sure... now if I can just find myself a sled or toboggan I'll be all set!
LOVE the porch, it looks great.
Chris
i love the red and natural touches against the color of your house- it's perfect!
Everything looks so festive! My favorite is the sled and the webbing bow! With the bells on the ends!

I love everything you've done to your porch. Especially the burlap bow on the tobaggan! I haven't seen one in years. Very Christmas-y!
Enjoyed seeing your pretty decorations. I am done - I really slacked this year I keep looking around thinking I need to do more, but just can't get motivated.
Oh my gosh, you sure have been busy! I love your gorgeous porch, and your planters look so festive! Best of all, they don't need watering:) I really like how you mixed in both real and faux greens, and I am loving that upholstery webbing stuff (sorry, I forgot what it's called!).
Girl, you sure do know how to "do up" a porch :) It looks fabulous. The toboggan is my favorite. Wish we had snow here. It all looks beautiful. Way too hard to homeschool with all the holiday fun going on...
Blessings,
Becky C
It all looks great!
I love front porches all decorated up. Such a nice welcome.
Geez, I'm exhausted just looking at all your prettiness ~ how do you do it all? Decorated a wee bit round my front door, path and barn but looking at this I can see I have more to do... I did use my old tobogan, Grandpa's skates n sled tho. Never seem to find time (or talent) for pics either. You're amazing! Thanks (I think?) for more inspiration. ;-0
hugs,
Leslie
The bow on the Tobogan is awesome!!! along with all your other touches!!
These decoration ideas speak to me. They are calling my name. I may be copying a couple of things for my front porch.
It looks nice and homey, especially with that sprinkle of snow!
Your porch looks so festive and inviting. I've hung a wreath on my front door and that's all I've accomplished with my outside decorations.
Jane
Cindy- It looks great- I love all the fresh and plastic mixed greenery...if ya didn't tell us we would never know which was which. Your porch looks lovely..and I like all you swags. Just one question for you though...are you sure that Festifying is a word? I'd challenge it in a game of Scrabble! Hugs-Diana
HOW beautiful!! I just LOVE the real greens in with the red and the burlap looking ribbon. Can you believe there is not Hobby Lobby around here! I hear bloggers always talking about it. It must be a dream.
Great job!!
Hi Cindy,
Your porch is beautiful! Love all the greens you have everywhere! You are so blessed to have a covered porch. Mine is just a pergola and the snow is covering everything.
Thank you for your message you left at my place.
I have a Canon Rebel T1i. I don't use an editing program though, except to watermark the photos (not smart enough to learn one). Thank you for your sweet compliment.
I love your blog!
The porch looks great, the toboggan is my favorite!
I would love my front porch to look like yours...it's awesome! So Cindy...just wondering...do you ever sleep? You are like the energizer bunny...amazing! I am almost finished decorating, hopefully by the weekend. ~Deb~
So pretty! LOVE how you have the greens on your bench. And yeah... that toboggan was brilliant.
You're putting me to shame this year. I'm just doing the upstairs and then calling it quits. I think I'm more tired from the grueling photoshoots than the work itself. :)

Your porch looks so charming and inviting!
A Debbie-Dabble Christmas
Fabulous, as always! I haven't done a thing outside, because I think it's too cold to be out there. I'm a wimpy southerner when it comes to winter. It's in the 30s here and windy, so I'm stayin' inside. You have inspired me though.
LOVE your front porch!
It looks gorgeous. I have never seen snow in real life, wish I could decorate with it around!
Wow, after seeing your outdoor decorating I want to redo all of my indoor stuff! I love it. I would even sit outside in the cold to enjoy it.
Jo
I really like the color of the outside of your house. Your cushions seem to match perfectly.
Take care,
Lisa
Cindy
you bless my heart with every post. Nuff said!

Happy Holidays - I'm dropping by from All Things Merry and Bright blog hop.
Love your front porch decorating...so pretty.
Looks like u have decorated everything but Bogart! "He is such a good doggie" and needs decorated :)
L/Dad
Cindy, you're a decorating fool! Love all the red and browns (and naturally the upholstery webbing, of course!) How did you tie that lovely bow on the sled? I've had no luck working with that stuff and I really want to make a bow for the webbing wreath I made a few days ago. Any pointers are greatly appreciated! :)
Everything is so lovely... especially love the burlap touches!!!
Blessings~~ Daphne
I adore the webbing! And red is my favorite color. YOur front porch looks perfect! Lezlee
Love all the touches.
Love the webbing, everything goes well together.
Happy Holiday
Michele
I want to come and hang out on your porch. I love the greenery and balls hanging on the back of the bench and rocker. It all looks so pretty.
Love it! I love the greenery, buckets and the pinecones. Everything looks so pretty, but my favourite part is the old toboggan.
Girl, you crack me up, "festifying", LOL!!! Great rockers out there on the porch, and fake or not it all looks fabulous!! Thanks for linking up to the party!!
love ya,
Debra
Love it all!
Angie
Completely gorgeous! I love your swags on the back of the rocking chairs. I'll have to steal that idea for next year. Thanks for linking up!!!
LURRVE the sleigh! And all the frou frou! Your porch is just my 'style'. I am decorating less this year and enjoying it WAY more. A tiny tree in the kitchen, a warm decor mantle in the living room. Easy peasy and just 'enough' to enjoy the season.
I just LOVE the subtle natural style... It's beautiful. :)

Everything is so pretty, festive, and welcoming! Your guest must feel honored as they arrive. Have a happy weekend!
Hi. I just found your blog from Beth's Front Porch party. It's funny b/c my house is nearly the same color. It's a 1950s bungalow. I also have that same jute ribbon. Did you get it at Hobby Lobby? Check out my house at www.handjstclair.blogspot.com. My home is on a tour this weekend and I'm about to update the pictures of all of my Christmas decor. I love your blog!!
Perfection and Yumminess all wrapped up very nicely!! What a delight to view your home!!
I love the tobaggon and the jute upholstery webbing bow! I used it on my tree this year as garland. Such a pretty porch!
love your holiday decor, Cindy! i'm jealous of your treasured ornaments. i had that growing up but later in life somehow they disappeared and i've never taken on much of an ornament tradition. kinda sad really.
anyway, love your stuff! :)
happy holidays,
amyw.
